Fish, wild - disesases

The disease status in wild fish has been under surveillance since 2012.

To investigate the occurrence of pathogenic agents in anadromous salmonids (Atlantic salmon and sea-trout).
The Norwegian Veterinary Institute is responsible for surveillance in fresh wather, and the Institute of Marine Research is responsible for surveillance in salt water.

The fresh water surveillance utilizes samples from brood stock caught and stripped for stock enhancement purposes or for the Norwegian gene bank program.
